In short: Sotto runs entirely on your Mac, inside the macOS sandbox. It collects nothing, sends nothing, and stores nothing outside the files you choose to open.
No Data Collection
Sotto does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information or usage data. Specifically, the app does not gather:
- Personal information of any kind
- Usage analytics or statistics
- Crash reports or diagnostic data
- Device identifiers or tracking information
- The contents of any Markdown file you open
No Network Activity
Sotto makes no network requests whatsoever. It does not connect to any server, does not check for updates, does not contact analytics services, and does not include any third-party SDKs or tracking tools.
Sandboxed by Design
Sotto runs inside the standard macOS App Sandbox and only accesses files you explicitly open through Finder, the Open dialog or Quick Look. It has no broader access to your file system.
